No, it’s not in the museum itself, but it is just across the street, at 112 South Michigan Avenue. The two-tier space was originally built in 1908 as part of the former Illinois Athletic Club, with 26-foot-high ceilings, a grand staircase entrance, and a checkboard dance floor that we can assure you will see plenty of use. The SAIC took over the building in the ’90s and oversaw the ballroom’s renovation to its Jazz Age glory years.
Please refer to how your save-the-date and/or invitation was addressed. If you don’t remember, get in touch with us!
Yes, all eligible guests are required to be up to date on their vaccinations. As the date approaches, we will reach out if additional testing prior to the event is required. (Who knows what this year will bring.)
No. Instead, we recommend booking a room in the hotel of your choice ASAP if you think you may be able to join us. The venue address is 112 S Michigan Ave., and there are several hotels in downtown Chicago within walking distance. If you’re up for a taxi/rideshare elsewhere in the city, don’t forget to check your options on Airbnb or at hotels in the nearby neighborhoods of River North, South Loop, West Loop, etc.
We recommend parking in the nearby Millennium Garages. Alternatively, you can download the SpotHero app to reserve discounted parking elsewhere near the venue. Your hotel may offer other parking options, too.
Cocktail attire, please.
